This comprehensive history of MIT Lincoln Laboratory was published in 2011 on the occasion of Lincoln Laboratory's 60th anniversary. More than 100 people contributed to the writing of the book, helping to capture the Laboratory's legacy of innovation in service to the nation.

In 1995, Lincoln Laboratory published the first history book chronicling its pioneering work in air defense, radar technology, satellite communications, ballistic missile defense, space surveillance, solid-state electronics, and more. The book is out of print, but its substance has been preserved in the 2011 expanded edition above.
