  • Bi-monthly brown bag lunches
  • Guest speakers
  • Annual Americans with Disabiltiies Act (ADA) Celebration
  • Outreach activities with other ERGs
Lincoln Laboratory Employees DisabilitiesThe LED group held an event for the 25th Anniversary Celebration of The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July 2015. The event included a "chains for change" activity in which individuals made chain links out of construction paper. The paper chain symbolizes the metal chains that disability rights activists used to attach themselves to public buses and buildings during their fight for the ADA 25 years ago. The chain was sent to Easter Seals, a nonprofit, community-based health agency dedicated to helping children and adults with disabilities attain greater independence, who displayed the chain in Boston Common during the city of Boston's ADA celebration.
